This article will show you how to do the following.

  • How to Send a fax via Email or the Audian User portal

 The maximum file size for virtual faxing is 4MB.


 Email Method

In order for the service to work, you can only send faxes through an authorized email address. If you receive errors when attempting to fax please call Audian to add you to the authorized list.

  1. Open a new email and fill in the following.
    1. To: 10 Digit
      • The CompanyName is YOUR company's name within our system. If you do not know the specific company name, you can:
        • Call Audian to verify the name.
        • Check your welcome packet.
        • Log into the portal to verify the name in the top right.
      • Example:
    2. Subject: Doesn't matter, whatever you would like!
    3. Body: Can be left blank
  2. Attach the document you would like to fax.
    1.  Attachments may be sent in PDF and TIFF formats.
  3. Press Send.
    1. Afterwards, you should receive a confirmation email.

 Audian User Portal Method

In order for this system to work an admin must first set up the Faxbox feature on the user wanting this service.

  1. Login to the Audian Portal.
  2. Click the 9 square button at the top right of the screen.
  3. Select  Audian User Portal from the apps list.
  4. From the Dashboard, click Faxes on the left.
  5. Click the Quick Fax button at the top.
  6. Enter the fax number in the Send to Number field.
  7. If desired, click the Create Cover Sheet toggle switch to On.
  8. Enter the Sender and Recipient names and anything that you would like to appear in the cover letter in the Cover Letter Body.
  9. Click Upload PDF, and then select the document or documents that you would like to fax.
    (Note: If multiple PDF files are added, the system will no merge them into one document that you can preview before sending.)
  10. Click Preview Fax.
  11. After confirming that the preview is correct, click Send Fax.

Installing and Logging in Process:

You must first have downloaded the fax program from our website:

  1. Navigate to
  2. Click on the “Download Audian Fax Client”
  3. Click Save to download, and then run the program.
  4. Once installed, start the program by navigating to your start menu, all programs, and “Virtual Network Fax” 
  5. Login with the credentials provided separately to you. You may also save permanently and have this login when you start windows

Fax Process:

  1. You will now see your panel with all faxes that you have sent along with the source, destination, time/date and a number of pages.
  2. The Action drop-down will allow you to view or delete any of the faxes/
  3. To Send a fax from here, click on File and “Send a Fax”
  4. You may optionally send a cover page. All of the information entered here will be saved so that it doesn’t need to be re-entered each time. You may select your attachments (up to two) from here, and may also save the recipient in the address book.
  5. Click OK to send lick OK to send.
 Sending a fax by email

You may also send a fax by simply emailing up to 5 attachments to our email servers. This has the benefit of not requiring a program to be installed. Attachments may be sent in JPG, PDF, Adobe PostScript, TIFF, Microsoft Word, Excel, CSV, HTML & Plain Text formats.

**Note – for security, you must send the fax from an authorized email address, which isthe one used to sign up. If you are sending from a personal account (non-authorized)this function will not work.

  1. Open a new email and attach up to 5 items.
    1. To: < (ie
    2. Subject: your 10 digit vFax number (ie, 8447377375)
    3. Body – optional if you want a cover page. Please add the words “cover page” in the subject page to attach. 
    4. After sending, you will receive a confirmation or rejection, and also a confirmation that the fax was sent.
 Sending a fax through the Website

To send a fax through our website, go to and log in with your credentials. You may follow the links from here to send, view or manage any of your settings:
